Then there is EU, where regulator is full of same age bracket, but produces opposite policies. You look at them and see... humans. And competent too.
All this made me think, that so much of bad policies are not because old people are incompetent (ignoring fact most of them were wrtitten so long ago, they were still young), but because those people pretend to be incompetent.
And this game of "you don't see because I closed my eyes" is not limited to computers. Just watch video on Rossmann's channel of FTC(?) hearing about Right to Repair of medical devices, where lobbyist(what a dystopia) tells "here's study that says medical devices shouldn't be repairable", but if you just open it, you will see "Conclusion: medical devices should be repairable by as many people as possible". And everything goes fine for that guy.
Anyway. I hope @pluralistic can add something here or correct me if I'm wrong.
