Why exactly is it that toll-free open-source software is perfectly capable of synchronizing the read/unread (seen/unseen) status of messages between a multitude of clients from different vendors on different devices possibly even using different ISPs and their paid-for closed-source pendants with all their variants from the very same vendor just can't [do that]?
