It's interesting that there is all of this debate about Japanese failing to import US cars because the entire US industry has focused on huge-ass trucks… and at the same time a new truck was announced that by my eyes looks like it might actually do really well in the Japanese market (although still a tad expensive compared to a kei truck but striking distance for sure) https://www.slate.auto/
