Dear #Mozilla , we're glad to hear you're focusing more on #Firefox . My personal request is the ability to sync all the things: pinned_tabs, containers, preferred search engine, and tab_groups (whenever they arrive). Sync should be included by default for new features. Pretty please.

I've been using #neomutt ✉️ for a few years now, but it's feeling dated. I tried #Thunderbird :thunderbird: this week for a while. I really like the tags feature (much better than folders IMO). I think ultimately it's just not enough vim for me. I need my shortcuts and a real editor. There's a sort of vim extension but it's janky af. I know I could probably configure the shortcuts but configuring everything is kinda what's pushing me away from neomutt. Going to try #aerc next. 🤞

@felimwhiteley if you liked `cd -` check out `!$`. It takes the last argument from the previous command. Example:

mkdir some_long_directory_name
cd !$

Thoughts on using a FIDO/U2F key (à la yubikey) and leaving it plugged all the time? What about multiple keys (home, office, etc?) #2fa

I feel I need to write a blog post on how to get an encrypted root partition to mount at boot with #linuxfromscratch. Took quite a bit of reading on how the linux initramfs works and how to get it all loaded before Linux tries to mount the disk. Learned a lot - but I don't actually have a blog... :blobcatthink:

Am I the only one wanting a smaller phone. I don't have a an iphone but the 13 mini seemed attractive. I had one of the Sony Xperia compact phones and it was great. They stopped making them too 😞

I can't stand *QR-code menus* for restaurants. For 2 main reasons:
- it's *not a technological upgrade*. I can read more and quicker on a paper menu. And paper doesn't have browser or connection problems.
- it's *exclusionary*. Old people have a hard time with it. Not just the process of opening the menu, but often the text size too.
I've no problem if you _also_ have a QR-code menu. I understand the advantages for the restaurant (quick menu changes etc), but it's a worse customer experience.

Since Pop OS made systemd-boot the default instead of grub, I've been using it a while now. So much simpler to understand and work with. fstab like syntax - /dev/sda2 instead of hd(1,1) Can auto discover windows installs. Highly recommended - https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Systemd-boot

Wanted to do this for a long time. Despite using linux for about 24 years, I still feel I learned a lot. The documentation for the procedure and all the tools is really good too.
