I’ve seen a lot of people use AI to generate images or videos of other people the last few years.

Not once has that felt okay to me, to be honest.

When it’s happened to me I feel it’s violation of my consent.

It's weird how every little automation is an "agent" these days. Weird LLM that tags your uploaded photo: Agent. A sequence of filters and pipes in a shell: Agent. Pre-saved prompt: Agent.

"AI" burns through terms quicker than even crypto did.

Das Problem an der Sichtweise von Daten als ökonomisches Gut ist übrigens, dass es ja immer die Daten anderer sind, die verwertet werden. Abbau Daten anderer, die dann auf den Risiken und Folgen sitzen bleiben, wohingegen die Datenverwerter mit dem Gewinn davongehen.

You're not being helpful if you're responding to people's questions with a copy/paste of what an LLM says to their question.

If they consent to their question being put into an LLM, they would've already done it themselves. Stop.

Tomorrow, I'll be going back to school for another ask me anything on digital privacy. I've been doing those sessions for a while now, and I'm still amazed by how thoughtful young people's questions on the technologies in their lives actually are.

Don't believe the narrative they aren't critical about tech or do not care about their privacy. A lot of them are and they do, which gives me a lot of hope!
