Yesterday in #WashingtonDC, on the steps of the Capitol where protest is currently not allowed (!), an active duty officer in the #AirForce deliberately broke the law to honor his oath of service. He called for the removal of Trump, and he wore his uniform to do it.
Rep. Al Green, my favorite member of Congress, and the Removal Coalition stood with him, as did a crowd of DC protesters.
It’s wild and depressing that in the space of 20 years, we went from:
“I can now share my furry fanfic or my penis puppetry show with the entire world without worrying about any government or tv channel censoring or gatekeeping me out.”
To:
“I can’t spell the word s*x, or anything a 1960s Mormon housewife might object to, keep my no-genocide politics on the down low, and constantly beg technofascist corps to let people read what I write”

In downtown #DC, #Arlington & the #CapitolHill area, where pollution will be “very unhealthy,” the document says that people should “expect irritation symptoms” & limit their postshow exposure to the pollution. The case against Trump’s EO (eliminating mail-in voting altogether, etc) is actually much simpler than in this one. There’s no federal law on the books that even remotely supports anything in the EO. But in Watson, the argument (which the Court rejected) was that existing federal election law should be interpreted to require ballots to be received by election day.
NBC—Senate Ethics panel dismisses misconduct complaint against Ruben Gallego
In a letter obtained by NBC News, the Ethics Committee said it dismissed the complaint after it investigated it and “did not find evidence” that he violated rules or standards of conduct.
“It is deeply damaging to the fabric of our republic for President Trump, in the midst of a historic presidency, to have to take his focus away from his singular and unique duties as chief executive to continue fighting against decades-old, false allegations” said his attorneys to the court.
Basically: he’s too special to follow rules like an ordinary person… a literal definition of toxic entitlement.
