My son is not normally the sort to brag, so I only learned of this while looking through his school yearbook today: He was voted “Most likely to become President” by his 8th grade class.
While he’s never expressed to me any interest in political office, he is active in educating himself and others about the things happening in our city, state, and country. He is unafraid to put himself out there to advocate for others, and thoughtful enough to prepare for those situations.
I truly wish I, as a youth, had been more like he is now.

It's June. Most of the men I came up with are gone, taken by AIDS while a government that wouldn't say the word looked the other way.
They started this fight at Stonewall, in drag. Now the same machine is coming for trans kids and drag queens with "protect the children" stamped on the side.

I had a whole plan for a long ride this morning but then encountered a triathlon near the start of my planned route. Turned back and ended up on the greenway closer to my house plus some random additions to make the ride longer. It was fine, but I wish there was better communication around this kind of stuff. Anyway, did have some nice nature encounters - or more exactly, non-encounters because rule #1 is stay out of the way of geese. #BikeTooter
