The amount of people complaining on LinkedIN about schools closing in NL is too damn high.
I forgot a few days! On the 9th, I got a new keyboard. 11th - I started a touch typing workshop. On the 12th - 5 hours of learning. That should increase my productivity somehow.
Now I've (finally) added a text expander tool (espanso) to automatically fill in my company details.
To make something positive of this, I was thinking about an initiative - +1% productivity for 100 (working) days. Maybe with the hashtag #1percentgains? We'll try something out.
For every day I'm working, I will do something that will increase my productivity, even minimally. 100*1 = 100% more productive, excluding compounding!
Although the end goal is not to be more productive, but to have more time left for other, more fun things, like offline hobbies or creative work.
I got RSI-like symptoms now. 😭 So now I'll be working on 'ergonomic' workplaces in the mean time, starting with a new keyboard.
I'm doing something I'm dreading, getting a headache from, but is necessary to do today.
Hearing myself tell a speech.
Listening to cybersecurity people freak out over Mythos is so tiring. Like, bro, your local water treatment plant runs Windows XP, your mobile provider's hardware is older than you are, and the protocol that routes internet traffic is secured by everyone just agreeing that hijacking it would be uncool.
Github Copilot will charge you 6 to 9 times more for using high end models, starting 1st of June. Full table here.

Yes, I have an addiction, but I can quit anytime I want to. I also need to take 3 weeks off then.
I finally figured out why I feel so drowsy and headache-y this morning. I forgot my coffee at breakfast 😭
"I should wear an apron when I'm cooking", I say to myself, trying to get the weekly stain out of my clothes
@mttaggart you might find this interesting too.
This podcast gave an interesting insight on how people have relationships with AI. How someone can get lost in their AI partner, and what you’ll actually lose when jumping into the other reality.

A great case of puer aeternus.
Watched Marty Supreme yesterday. For me, movie of the year.
An amazing story and a great continuation of the Uncut Gems-style storytelling and cinematography.
This was mostly written for me, but someone else might make use of it too.
PSA: you might experience a case of shiny object syndrome. Your mind is trying to not work on the task at hand, which is probably more important and/or urgent.
If so, write down your idea and thoughts about it, and set it aside. When you've done the task(s) at hand and come back to it, you'll have more energy and motivation for your 'shiny object'. Or you'll find out it wasn't important enough to chase.
In both cases, you've done some actual work today, congrats!
