- that plugs into a desktop environment
- a desktop environment running a personal server with full gamer specs and raid array that cools down to a nas
- desktop and phone sink apps, settings, and files when desired over usb
- desktop server streams files and events to phone when not connected
every home also runs all the media via this
- speakers just work wired or wirelesly
- screens that are just thin clients in subtle places
- a tablet or two
- an eink book or two

this is all easier to make than what we have but would kill profits both by making equipment future proof and upgradable but also means instead of 1 device per person and 3 per house we have something like 8 per person and 2 per house
oh you need a phone, switch, a pc, a laptop, a smarttv, a AAA console, blueray player, tablet
but all i see is 3 computers and 3 phone
