I really love this flag. It's hard to reproduce as a "flag you use everywhere"... Like what would they :canada: flag emoji be for this?

One of the earliest sign I knew AI chatbots was going to be horrible for mental health was actually from my lived experience of using speech-to-text transcription.

Context: I am deaf, and I was born that way, and I grew up with hearing aids and got my cochlear when I turned 15. The cochlear, by itself, improved my speech accuracy to 75% from 25% with dual hearing aids.

During the pandemic, my speech comprehension skills worsened due to fundamentally lossy audio quality over Zoom.

How tf did I not think of this?? 🤯

Hey folks, there is going to be pushback on this plan from Carney and Eby to buy out a bunch of unsold (unsellable) Vancouver condos.

Here's the thing, it's not a great plan, but there are not a lot of other great plans that you could put in its place. Developers, Buyers, and Governments all kind of built traps for each other causing the market to stalemate, and somebody needs to break the tie.

• Buyers cannot break the tie, because they literally do not have the money to do so
• Developers would go bankrupt trying to lower prices low enough, which they could do once, but who builds the next round?
• Governments have a much rougher time going bankrupt. And they honestly have both a need for these units and a time horizon to balance this out

So our Government has to break the tie. I don't like it, but I get it.
