Having just finished watching Widow's Bay I was reminded of what a great character actor Stephen Root truly is.
His range is incredible, and he is a favourite of the Coen brothers, having appeared in several of their movies: O Brother, Where Art Thou? (2000), The Ladykillers (2004), No Country for Old Men (2007), The Ballad of Buster Scruggs (2018), and The Tragedy of Macbeth (2021).

The new CEO of the Wikimedia Foundation worked at J.P. Morgan and Lehman Brothers. The Foundation has now fired a longtime lead developer and disbanded the team whose job was to listen to volunteers. The British Museum removed the terms “Palestine”, “Palestinian” and “Israelite occupation” from its displays in direct response to months of lobbying in 2024, a Middle East Eye investigation has found.
In February 2026, the museum defended its decision to alter some displays, saying that “audience testing” showed the term “Palestine” to be “no longer meaningful”.
However, a new disclosure by the museum to MEE, in response to a freedom of information request, confirms that no such testing was carried out, nor any visitor research related to the term “Palestine”."
