Get your votes in before we run the #emfcamp scheduler and lock it in! Not long now before we will do our final run - we have new things on the lineup now including family workshops, DJ sets, and live music along with the performances, talks and workshops from before.

The scheduler tries to make it so you can go to as many things as you favourite on the lineup as possible - and gives us an idea of the popularity of each talk so we can make sure it's in a big enough venue.

There will be some talks that are not recorded; all the rest will be and you can watch them later (and favouriting them now will give you a quick link to go back to find them after the event when the videos are up!).

All "privacy oriented" commercial VPNs are honeypots.

You can't change my mind on that.

Mullvad VPN has heavy marketing in Washington DC (their ads are plastered all across the metro stops frequented by government workers and foreign diplomats) for example.

The whole "you need to hide something? here we'll hide it for you! Everyone that wants to hide something should put is all in this one consolidated place!"

But they totally won't look at it.

They swear.

No logs, bro. I promise. I can look, but I won't. I could log, but I won't.

So while Mullvad the company is showing their ass, asking what other VPN to hop to begs the question: Why are you using a commercial VPN?

If it's to change your IP address to bypass porn restrictions in fundamentalist theocratic states, then cool. That's a solid use case.

If it's for a nebulous reason like "for privacy" or "for security". Then you might want to see if that tool actually meets your specific threat modeling.

Just called my GP and for the first time had the experience of 'talking with' SOFIA the NHS AI chatbot.

SOFIA is going to kill with incompetence.

It took me 15 minutes of it failing to understand
- Words
- Numbers
- Letters
- The Phonetic Alphabet (and yet it suggested I repeat myself *using* the phonetic alphabet)

It ended the call, sent me a message saying it needed additional details and, when I followed the link to give that information, I received a model error in response because it was overloaded

There are people who wouldn't dream of going to hospital if their GP hadn't told them to, no matter how bad their symptoms. This system will kill them.

I have already spent more NHS cash in AI tokens trying to phone them than the cost of a receptionist for the same period
