People make things and decide how they want to release and distribute them. That's their choice.

You deciding that you'll steal the things because you hate them but you can't live without them means one thing when it's bread, but sounds pretty stupid when it's a TV show.

There are lots of TV shows. It's like you stealing bread and people pointing out that there's free bread everywhere, but you're insisting you have to have the special kind.
