For me after an initial transfer of people migrating from Twitter when space karen bought it and a few people I’ve found along the way discovering cool people to follow has been difficult .

I'm a parent with a 9-month old baby looking to chat with other parents. Can you recommend fedi accounts of parents with younger children who talk about parenting? (There may be many silent parents on here.)

Bonus points if they ride bikes / avoid cars, are passionate about climate justice, are COVID conscious / interested in public health, or concerned about LLMs & surveillance capitalism (all relatively common on fedi no doubt, despite conditions in the outside world).

After what feels like a year I’m finally making progress on some of my objectives at work. With day to day work and projects and constantly being interrupted by colleagues it’s finally calming down a bit.

Being overwhelmed for long periods is horrendous and stressful. Especially when some of what I’m trying to get done is pretty important but not necessarily client facing so ends up taking back seat too often

Good news: RAM will be a non-issue soon

Bad news: This is because we will not get new boards

I got the following news from the supply chain:

All (and I mean ALL) of our PCB subcontractors have turned around and told us minimum 1 year lead time on boards now. Apparently there's no Helium or Neon so they cant make FR4

FR4 is what all boards is made from.

So who cares if you cant get RAM - there's no PCBs to put it on ...

UPDATE: I don't think helium is the problem but PE Resind (polyphenylene ether). Neon may be a problem because it is required for the UV lasers.

Thanks to everyone broke £400 raised by the afternoon. I couldn’t believe my aging AW5 lasted the whole trip, had a moment at one point where it wouldn’t resume so distance is off but times appear to be about right.

The heat was pretty intense today but the wind in the face certainly helped as did the hero’s spraying their hose at the riders coming past to help cool us down

22 hours to go! - Been a great few months getting back on the bike training for ride. I really should time getting away from stress and distraction.
