This is what our "good morning" looks like today. Another massive russian attack on Ukraine. Residential buildings are on fire, innocent people are under fire. This terror must be stopped. The world cannot look away.

Hello Masto,

Good morning Europe I have written about the bewildering array of mechanisms available to prevent authentication token theft and also explained why we still basically have none of them available and so the authentication tokens are still being stolen and used. It is here: https://www.codon.org.uk/~mjg59/blog/p/preventing-token-theft/

He’s not wrong: “Calling the Home Office “a place of great darkness”, he believes it “wants to say no all the time – it doesn’t matter if that’s a Labour no or a Conservative no”.”

I don’t usually share messages from the government but this one’s important so please pay close attention.
Hello London!
Our annual #UCLChemAirPoll project lives again. We are sending first year undergraduates into Year 5 and 6 classes across London to talk about air pollution and measure NOx pollution. If you know of an interested school, get in touch. https://uclchemairpoll.wordpress.com
And please spread the word, re-toot and so on.
🔥 Europe is starting to push Palantir out.
Things are looking rough for Palantir in Europe…
…as they are increasingly seen as a danger to sovereignty with a high risk of structural lock-in and major ethical concerns.
Please share.
Well, I just got let go from my job after 2.5years so it’s time to find the next thing.
I have almost 30 years experience with #PHP and for many years was one of the community’s loudest voices about testing and code quality.
I like helping teams turn business requirements into working software and refactor applications and modernize them to conform to patterns and practices that lead to better outcomes.
I am looking for 100% remote roles where I can use my PHP (with a bit of Python ) skills to help your project get better.
I am in the North American Eastern time zone and have dealt with jobs where folks were both in EU time zones and North American Pacific time zone.
I am eligible to work in Canada and I also have a consulting business so non-Canadian companies could use me.
Footage of a French aid worker describing a mass grave holding
300 bodies in Gaza,
including small children allegedly killed with their hands tied,
has gone viral, reigniting international calls for accountability amid documented evidence of similar conditions at multiple Gaza hospital sites.
Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor,
a Geneva-based human rights organisation,
has been systematically documenting mass graves across Gaza since October 2023,
recording more than 130 sites in the territory’s northern, central and southern governorates.
The most significant discoveries came in April 2024 at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis,
where Palestinian Civil Defense teams unearthed hundreds of bodies,
some of them children,
bearing marks consistent with execution.
The United Nations human rights chief called the finds ‘horrifying’
and demanded that international investigators be granted unimpeded access to the site

I know that an English course may not seem like an urgent cause, but for me it is an investment in my future. I study English Translation, and I hope to join a training course at Oxford Institute in the Central Area during the summer break. The course costs €500, which I cannot afford on my own.
If you can help, even with a small donation, you will be helping me build a better future through education. https://chuffed.org/project/161851-help-aya-go-to-uni-and-survive-in-gaza

Exactly this.
Health and sexual education.
Easy, affordable, and widely available contraception without judgement.
Mental health and brain health treated with easy, affordable, and widely available professional healthcare.
And the recognition that every single pregnancy brings risk to the pregnant person’s life, that they do not need to justify accepting or refusing that risk to the government.
The government can not be empowered to make the decision about which human beings do or do not receive the healthcare that it, the government body et al (lobbyists, extractors, psychopaths, etc) decides that the individual may receive.
How do we tolerate that this is even still a discussion?
While we've been looking elsewhere its as well to remind ourselves that the US military continues its extra-judicial attacks on & executions of seafarers across the Caribbean - justified by a narrative of narco-terrorists but with scanty if any evidence in general & none in specific instances of the killings of crews of small boats.
The US has always been a rogue nation, but its become so much more brazen & the media seems to have become less interested in even tracking the deaths.
