As someone with ADHD, being able to schedule a social media post to happen the following morning instead of at 2am when I randomly decide to write it is a blessing and I won't judge anyone for doing that. 😅

Obviously though some folks schedule wholes months in advance and that just seems antisocial, like you're treating your profile like a business.

Okay, the tasks I really needed to do, done & me dragged around for a walk by my meat suit. I did ditch the post breakfast treadmill but after the shit night sleep & being boiled alive I think that's fair. Plus, I kind of made up for it by getting mid walk & extending it by an extra half, a walk of three halves 😅.

Just managed to get back into loafing gear before the album I was listening to finished, perfect.

Finally, a bit of late lunch starting just before 15:00 followed by a bit of reading (library books won't read themselves) & then wonder how it is that I don't have enough time to sneak in a movie before tea 😧.

Right, breakfast & episode of Stargate SG-1 survived, now to tackle washing up, load & put out wheelie bin(s) & go for a walk. Then a bit of reading before lunch & calling it quits for the day vis-à-vis doing stuff & being grateful for yesterday's batch cook.

Not being a computer wizz but dumb enough to use Linux Mint because Windoze.

As far as I've been aware my PC was fine. This is the first time I'm encountering this (it is / was still going).
A lot of "timed out"s.
It seems to be going through every file it can find. 🤷

Do I wait or do I Off & On again?

EDIT: Typical I ask a question & the whole process comes to an end 🤦.
Still would be good to know if this means something is or has failed in the PC (through I may find out when I do the Off & On again thing😬)?

It's been a little while since my last 3 Good Things Toot... So, on this Sunday, after the very sad Saturday, I want to bring out some positive vibes :bear_love:

1. Having a GP 🩺 that listened to my issues, that believed me, that understood me, and who was willing and able to give me better meds ⚕️ (the other GP I had in the practice, she'd been busy to get me to use as little as possible... Which I fully support! But... Not when you're in so much pain, that you're considering calling an ambulance 🚑 to pick you up, because you're not able to properly do anything!).

2. Having many online and offline Friendos, :pandaheart: who support me when I struggle, and who care about me when I am in need of help/understanding/love... You know who you are, and how much your support helps me to keep going on, even when I am ready to give up... :neomouse_hug_blahaj_heart:

3. Being so fortunate to have known Arwen for almost 12 years, and to have her at my side... Supporting me throughout the best and worst! And... Having Koa with me now... He's still "in training", but I already love him so much! :blobcatmeltlove:

It’s so easy to brainwash your kids; as of one hour ago, my kid has declared he doesn’t like fireworks anymore because they are too noisy. All because I told him, animals don’t like loud explosive noises of fireworks.

You have no idea how much influence you can have on others. So reach out and teach them!

I'm surprised that so many people don't know this.

Hay doods. If I forget to CW something that you're legitimately not keen on, it's absolutely 100% fine to remind me. I'm quite scattershot and often realise after, things like food or EC or alc or politics I've neglected to CW. It's never deliberate. I'd hate to think I'm ambushing your timeline with stuff that makes you feel bad. I will literally never think you're being a dick if you give me a lil dig about it. This space is for everyone. If I'm ever detracting from that, that's a me-problem, not a you-problem. X

So we went out this evening to watch The Oresteia. A funny, well-produced horrible Greek Tragedy in 3 parts. I didn't bother to look at the cast list and it was Mary-Louise Parker, David Morrisey, and a bunch of other very good actors. It was terrific. And also very very long. I've not done a 2-interval play before 1900-1115. I'll be honest - first part was a bit dry, second part I was edge of seat, third part I was into a second carafe and thinking about a cheeky vape. But it was still good. I'm now going to hot foot it across London town and when I get home I am going to make a bloody ruddy cheeseburger. Hope you're having a terrifo Saturday. Xx

#Journal of a very emotional Dutch AuDHD Pixy :pixy_party: (Saturday, 04/07/2026).

I didn’t have the best night. It had taken me quite some time to finally be able to fall asleep. Koa woke me up several times, so I struggled a bit when it was time to gt up again. I used the scale, which wasn’t too bad (OK, things could be a lot better, but those are plans for the future, when my body and situation with Koa have improved), and I got dressed. Koa got his food, and I took my meds. Then, I got to the couch, and grabbed my laptop.

I wrote a long email to my sweet friend. And I shared some of my screengrabs from the visit to the Hatertse Vennen to Pixelfed. Then, I wrote my journal toot, and updated it everywhere it should go. I was feeling rather sad, so when I was done, I put away the laptop. I tried to distract myself by watching one of my favorite series some more, as I am busy on my umpteenth re-watch of Criminal Minds. I scrolled the Fediverse a bit as well. I was crying a bit, as it was a hard night, with sad memories attached to it. And then, all of a sudden, Koa came up to me, snuggled up with me, and… He lay there… No biting. No wiggling. He was just there, showing me he cared… I tried to get a selfie with him, while I was trying to hold back more tears… It didn’t last too long, but it lasted long enough for me to feel loved…

I watched more telly, had brekkie, and scrolled the Fedi some more. After some time, Koa and I went out for a short walk. I had taken an extra painkiller with brekkie, so I was able to walk Koa a bit better, which felt good. When we got back, I chatted with some sweet friends for a while. I rode my bike for a bit, and then I made some food. While I was eating, the washing machine was doing its things… I hung the stuff out to dry, and then I walked Koa again.

We got back home, and I tried to relax a bit with some gaming. But, I struggled with my concentration, so after some time, I switched back to watching Criminal Minds again. Then, I ordered some new photo prints, so I can add them to the old skool books again soon. I still have to finish my document with all the dates, so that dad can hopefully print them, and I can add them to the books.

Koa and I went for another walk, and then we tried to just let the day pass by. My back and leg were slowly acting up a bit again, well, a bit more I should say. I was getting tired, and I felt so drained. So, a bit earlier than usual, we got ready to head to bed. Not just to sleep, but to lay down properly, and be able to relax a bit better than I could on the couch.

After a little while, Koa dozed off, and I tried to… But there were folks on the other side of the grassy area behind the house working on their garden. And… They had music on… Ever since the morning, when they started, I heard the droning of the bass come through the house. And, even with the window closed, it still came into my bedroom. Which drove me nuts, as I wasn’t able to filter it out, even with the sound of my tablet streaming Criminal Minds…

I got my Kobo in the end, and after some time, I was so exhausted, that I finally dozed off. Of course I woke up again shortly, to visit the loo. Koa slept some more, which was nice. He had to go out a few hours later. We slept some more, and then he woke me up again. It was still early, but I understood him being done with the crate, as we’d gone to bed earlier due to me not feeling too good. So… We got up a bit early, and we started our “day”.

Thanks to all for your kindness and support during my "journey through daily life" :bear_love: I really appreciate it :bear_hugs: as it helps me to keep going on bad/harder days! :bear_nuzzle:
