I had a total shoulder replacement, on my dominant side, on Tuesday. The doc managed the pain killers (including a nerve block) really well, and I have had no unbearable pain. I’m in a brace for four weeks but can remove it for showers, specific exercises, etc. woo hoo! Started the little OT exercises today. The worst part? Basically living in a recliner for the coming weeks to keep the arm and shoulder elevated. Looking forward to eventually regaining some of my lost range of motion!
