Parallel to my exhibition a great show by my students "Remembered. Not Real" is on view at City Gallery Sindelfingen.

It is elegant, funny and touching. I am very proud of it!
Maybe you will find time to see it!

I recently added an “AI statement“ to my website. Thought it’d be worth heading off questions about my use of LLMs when designing or building it, or when writing on it.
And yes I’m very upset I even felt I had to do this https://ethanmarcotte.com/ai/
After a great opening of my early retrospective (as the curator of the exhibition calls it) I'm here to invite you to the artist talk I will give tomorrow July 2 at 19:00 at https://galerie-sindelfingen.de/
The gallery will be open longer, so you can see both shows, mine and "Remembered. Not Real" by my students!

For the first time MBCBFTW (1996 ) and Agatha Appears (1997) to appear on the same table, both encapsulated in their original environments, resolutions, hardware.
join me this Saturday for the opening of "online since 1996"
I am *very* honored to perform at Olia Lialina’s solo exhibition opening in #Sindelfingen on 27/06/2026.
Olia (@GIFmodel) is one of the few artists who kept inspiring me since my discovery of net.art. It’s hard to say exactly how much influence her practice has had on my browser-based disciplines, but her art and research have definitively helped me make choices and avoid others (what would olia do?)
I hope my performance `Being a script` will reflect the respect I feel. Be there if you can, that might be a historical [net]art exhibition.

I think my wireframing app is usable now. Happy about feedback (I know there are features that could be implemented, but mostly I am interested in how the basic concept works (or doesn't) for you)

The app is very limited and thought to support conversations. Its not for specs. Think sharpie-sketch on post it note. It might be integrated in an issue tracker or chat for that purpose.

It's getting closer and bigger :)

Dead Link Club – an evening of internet archaeology, collective memory and speculation about digital afterlives.

panke.gallery, Tuesday, 30 June 2026 from 19:00 to 21:00
Join the Dead Link Club! An evening of internet archaeology, collective memory and speculation about digital afterlives.
Digital death and afterlife are topics that surround us everywhere: from platform shutdowns, websites disappearing and discontinued services, to Meta’s patents for death bots, zombie and dead internet theories, online memorials or grief rituals for obsolete tech. There is talk about the urgency of archiving, of keeping sources alive, of preserving the memories of marginalized voices and communities. At the same time, there are demands for the right to be forgotten, for opacity and the need to hide in the dark forests.
We are intrigued by the collectivizing energy of grieving and take seriously the pain and disorientation that can come with lost online connections, but we are not interested in nostalgia. Therefore, we will examine the concrete conditions that lead to these deaths: what economic, political and technological contexts make platforms and services come to die? What communities do they leave behind, what do they transform into and what disappears with them?
Join the Dead Link Club for its first session on Tuesday, 30 June at 7 pm at panke.gallery to find out!
Bring a defunct website, a deleted subreddit or a service that stopped responding, and let’s run a dead link autopsy together. We’ll pick some links per session and investigate.
📥 RSVP: https://panke.gallery/event/dead-link-club-1
or write to us at info@panke.gallery to register.
Dead Link Club is part of the research project and event series Damnatio Memoriae by Tommaso Cappelletti & Noemi Garay.

If in Stuttgart or not far away, join us tomorrow for an event about frames and framing students of our MA program have organised.
Being a <frameset> master and constant "Frames or no Frames" choice maker (see pic.2), I am a bit sad that I am not invited as a speaker, but I'm happy to be in the audience! https://www.merz-akademie.de/veranstaltungen/framework-symposium/
