I've been seeing much talk about making 9/25 a day to remember Dolly Parton, but I haven't seen much more than that.

I can't be the only one who thinks it would also be a great day to remember our commitment to community and each other in her memory. Give the gift of a book to someone. Clean up your book collection and take some to a neighbor's free library. Donate money to a food bank. Look up an organization where you can volunteer some time to. Etc.

We do have a September 25th fast approaching. I plan to do a little of each.
