So far, #Chile has been an attractive center for researchers in Latin America. Many of my classmates came from the region. After getting the doctorate degree, many continue working in Chile, in the industry or as researchers. Some are in the group of the most cited researchers in Chile. Some have been the lecturers of thousands of undergraduate and graduate students. Have supervised many doctoral students. Have collaborated on projects in the public sector and with the industry. However, the current fascist government wants to stop all grants for researchers without a permanent residence in Chile, even for postdocs or assistant professors who were formed in Chile. I am so concerned about all the damage this government is doing.
