Queer organisations and queer communities have a big antisemitism problem, i say this as a queer person.
Also note the cases in the UK and Belgium mentioned in the article.

@EinsPossum This seems like a good thing tho? /gen
It seems like a "No pride in genocide" stance. Which is good imo.
@deivpaukst Oh just fuck off, if you read the article and came to this conclusion, you need to fix your heart or shut off your internet connection.
@EinsPossum Idk, the article to me sounds like it has Zionist dog whistles (like that genocide can only be done against Jewish people).
@EinsPossum I think it's fair that if they can't denounce Israel's genocidal actions in Gaza that they wouldn't be welcome at Pride.
@deivpaukst @EinsPossum So either you haven't read the article or you're the prime example of why such pride parades need to fuck off rather than queer Jewish communities
@justanotherguy @EinsPossum I reread the article just in case I misread something.
I still think it's a reasonable request from the organizers for that Jewish community to denounce the Palestinian genocide in order for them to participate.
If the Bund (a Jewish, anti-zionist organization) was organizing the Pride in my city, they'd do the same.
What exactly is wrong with this here?
"The Italian Jewish LGBT+ organisation has previously stated that 'while the conflict in the region is not our area of expertise, we feel close to the suffering of the Palestinian people. However, we ask people to be careful with the language used to refer to this war.'"
They obviously acknowledge all the suffering an all sides. If you want more than this this is a pretty obvious "you"-problem and not someone else
@deivpaukst @EinsPossum It is also interesting that noone seems to care about this part here:
"“This is just the last step on a hostile path. Last year, during the parade, we received explicit antisemitic attacks, and the Roma Pride chose to remain silent, refusing to condemn them. Today, that silence has become active complicity.”"
Kinda interesting this group seems to see themselves in a position to make demands of Jews.
@justanotherguy @EinsPossum But it's not a war, it's an extermination of a peoples.
@deivpaukst @EinsPossum Even if that was true: how does that change the fact that people die(d) on both sides and they acknowledge this suffering?
@justanotherguy @EinsPossum Okey, but that's genocide denial.
@deivpaukst @EinsPossum Are you for real? Or are you just projecting your own selective interest for human rights onto a bunch of queer Jews who might have a rather universal understanding of human rights and care for suffering regardless what group?
Would add up greatly to your previous made up bogus that either the article or the group of Jews thinks that genocide can only happen towards Jewish people (which in truth is actually another projection of your own views on Jews).
@justanotherguy @EinsPossum It deeply saddens me that the people who experienced one of the biggest tragedies on the planet are now doing the same to other people. So no, incredibly sadly, I don't think so.
@deivpaukst @EinsPossum So you talk like you care about the g-word but don't even know the difference between that and the h-word. Sounds like you mostly care about yourself and think it's actually the J-word. I'd actually go as far as saying it doesn't sadden you, quite the contrary actually. You're rather quite happy about it.
