it turns out, a very common editing task of mine is a perfect use case. who knew!
The dishwasher broke a couple months ago and money's been tight, so I've been doing dishes by hand.
This morning, with a kitchen sink full of filthy water, the plug broke off in my hand. Had to pry it out by force.
I think that's an omen for how the day is gonna go.
