It's filled up now. (Proof you can empty an Eco in previous post.) Used my fancypants 3d printed diamine ink bottle holder to fill it. #fountainpen
Please tell me someone has made a parody of the Village People song and called it TACO TACO MAN
I think it may be time for more ink. Still writing though! #fountainpen

TNR: The Republican Plot to Let People Die of Heatstroke
"Case in point is the relatively low-profile Low Income Heating and Energy Assistance Program, known as LIHEAP. Created by Congress in 1981 as a means to help people afford the costs of heating and cooling their homes, it currently helps some 6.2 million people pay their bills. In early April, the Trump administration fired the program’s entire staff of fewer than 30 people, whose jobs were housed within Robert F. Kennedy’s Department of Health and Human Services. Congress allocated $4.1 billion to LIHEAP this fiscal year, about 90 percent of which had already been distributed to states by the time the administration decided to purge its staff. That leaves $378 million left to be given out, and no one left to do it. The White House’s 2026 discretionary budget proposes eliminating LIHEAP altogether.
LIHEAP’s budget isn’t a massive line item for the federal government, but it could be the difference between life and death for those who depend on it to keep their homes from turning into ovens."

Took my mom to the hospital today for (TMI) and chest pain. They're keeping her overnight, not for the TMI but the chest pain, to run an additional test or three. She should be home tomorrow so I don't really get a long break. I was so tired when I got home that I left my pants, bra, and light on and fell asleep with no blanket. Dog loyally stayed welded to my ribs to keep me warm. Or used me to keep herself warm. Either one is good.
Nooo why do I want these? Giving me @hiro report vibes.
A non-stress take on Tetris (made by Adam Tal), where you drag the pieces as if putting together a puzzle.
Pretty relaxing, and calmly addicting.

@ai6yr this seems up your alley: the interesting afterlife of a D-Day bicycle. https://www.junobeach.org/a-new-iconic-artefact-at-the-museum/
In case you're deciding whether or not to wear a respirator when you go out:
Consider that the recent #Covid variant NB.1.8.1 which is dominant in much of Asia, and rising globally as we move into the early stages of this summer's surge, features a symptom referred to as "razor blade throat."

Today is a trifecta of nerd holidays. The Glorious 25th of May for Discworld fans, Towel Day for intergalactic hitchhikers, and the original (Orthodox) Star Wars Day.
I have my lightsaber, towel, and hard boiled egg.
