Romantasy is a romance story in a fantasy setting. Romance conventions are generally adhered to, because it’s a subgenre of romance. Without romance, the story would be entirely different.
Romantic fantasy is a fantasy story with romantic subplots. The “strength” of the romance can vary, but generally, the story would exist without the romance piece.

What are the conventions of the genre in which you write? How strictly do you follow them?
My 1st reaction was 🤔 what are the conventions? Guess this is a sign I don't follow so strictly. 😆 Epic fantasy usually occurs in a medieval setting. Only my Dragon Age books would qualify, though it's a different world, not a direct correspondence. Same with Urban Fantasy. I didn't use that label at first because every description said "set in our world" & mine aren't.
Question for #Bookstodon, if purchasing #books from an online store, & your choices were Itchio, Apple, Kobo or a an online store in your country, which do you prefer?

Any #blind #musicians or producers out there know of a good resource for learning how to play the keyboard? I have a Kk A61 keyboard that I've not really used in quite a while because I simply don't know how to play the keyboard, bought Logic and everything, but it doesn't really matter if I don't know how to use the keyboard right? I have 10 years worth of French Horn experience, and so I do know music theory to an extent, but need to be able to translate it from brass to keys. Any suggestions would be welcome. Thanks!

Mac: "If I'm being honest, this would be Gia. I don't want to be that clingy guy, but travelers can disappear in an instant, plus they don't feel emotions like the rest of us.
