Accountability is the exact word the US needs to show now

Show the world that corruption on the highest level is not accepted and that there are consequences following these actions otherwise what is the point

People in charge and powerful people should be held MORE accountable compared to the average person

They have a lot more resources to make sure they don't fuck up yet often they go the other way

    No more

@stux Don't know what my fellow Americans are doing but I've done the call to my house reps & senators that going after corruption is why they're in office. Affordability too, but I believe it's possible to walk and chew gum.

@jeremiah Affordability is as important but for the world stage less I guess

Global trust and maybe fear from the US have evaporated

@stux I don't blame any people for that position. Hopefully we can do the work to earn the trust and build a world that doesn't rely on fear.

@stux would you like fries 🍟 with that? Agree with you. Let’s get to January first because things could get ugly before the new group is confirmed.

@marybethR @stux Exactly! I'll be pleasantly surprised if the new Congress is seated without a violent Constitutional crisis brought on by the MAGA brownshirts.

@stux absolutely. And frankly also accountability for the billionaires that funded and platformed this crime spree. Trump, Hegseth, Bessent and Rubio should obviously go to jail but so should Musk, Thiel, Karp, Zuckerberg... can't let the puppets face consequences but the puppet masters go free.

    The real question is:

How many are progressives, and how many are centrists?

Those progressives want the change you want: to undo the damage of the Trump administration and improve your everyday lives.

The moderates, on the other hand, talk a big game — but when push comes to shove, they prioritize "unity" over real change and accountability.

when a defeated president tried to overturn an election he lost, Brazil prosecuted him & put him in prison

they succeeded where the US failed

when another corrupt fascist Bolsonaro tried a comeback, Brazil defeated him. whereas we reelected ours

this is our chance to put things right

no lesson could be more clear. there must be accountability

Absolutely. A bunch of politicians and billionaires should be lined at next to a wall.

After all the value of human life is $6M according to them. So if they steal more, that's equivalent to murder and the just punishment is death.

Ideally the US will learn from the past few years and fix the rules so nobody is above the law and everyone is punished intra-legally.

No more young brave men should need to sacrifice themselves to punish exploiters.

We may never know the identities of those who donated services in kind by buying ads on Meta or X for example. Or gave free legal or media relations services.

We may never know the identies of foreign donors who used an American corporation, church, trust fund, charity, or a DAF as a straw donor.

Democracies are under attack and thanks to Mitch McConnell & a corrupt Supreme Court we may never know who is funding a global fascist movement.
