We need to start organizing to get our leaders on board with this. Television ads across the country. Letter writing campaigns to governors. Writing articles to mainstream media outlets.
It won't work. There is no enforcement mechanism and SCOTUS will shoot it down.
Don't be a pessimist. If it is state law, or better, in their constitution, it will be the law. And if Ds play their cards right, we can get rid of those six traitors on the court in 29 and appoint a liberal unity court.
I've been plotting how to do so.
There is nothing preventing states from doing this in the Constitution. And there are multiple parts of the Const. that provide states the authority.
I don't think it's as simple as that.
