@sleepytako Both Schumer and Jefferies are part of the problem. This election cycle was a positive development, but this is not fully a Republican = bad, Democrat = good situation. There is corruption in both. There is a lot more flight to be fought. I really think things are going to get MUCH worse before they get better. I hope I'm wrong.
@36pickledeggs seeing who gets elected speaker will be important. The entrenched Israel-first, America-second leadership won't leave easily. I do expect a contentious debate, but I hope it remains free from the stupidity that was the GOP's speaker debacle selection process 2 years ago.
The two things I hope for are constant calls for Medicare for all, and holding criminals in office accountable. The entire Trump era is due to Obama not prosecuting the Bush admin for their war crimes.
