STARLOG (along with Dragon Magazine) was the highlight of the month back in the early 80s. I got a subscription as a birthday present every year, and devoured every issue.

One of my favorite-from-a-distance-of-decades memories is of reading STARLOG at my grandparents' house on summer vacation. My grandmother walked behind me while I was reading the SFX column - she thought it said "SEX" and went ballistic. It took both of my parents to calm her down. 🤣
