The Arab wave in Israel accentuates the question: Are they a democracy? Do Israeli Jews want to engage in democracy with Arab Israelis? Because Arab Israelis are showing up democratically.

Not unusual in democracies for ethnic majority led parties to join w ethnic minority led parties/movements in coalition. USA struggles w similar dynamics, still living in the aftermath of daring 🙄 to have elected a Black president for moderate health care reform.

Now I'm imagining Israel with an Arab PM…
