Nov 1, 2026, 7:37 PM@ascentale @DurableAce @bikenite A2. As fully clueless (and time-challenged) I had the LBS install a dynamo on an older mtb. The newer e-bikes came with standard dynamos. While I like them a lot, I would definitely recommend an additional helmet light. Because of their position, the dynamo can only show so much — and night cycling calls for scoping the whole scene. I set mine for farther distance than the dynamo for city riding with sparse streetlights.
