At the current natural gas price of around €100 per MWh, a 4.2 MW onshore wind turbine getting 3,500 full-load hours* saves us €2.5 million per year in LNG imported from Trump's US, Putin's Russia (until the end of the year) and other places.

The investment in the installed turbine is probably around €6 million, for comparison. We need more of those!

And it delivers an emission reduction of 6,000 tonnes of CO2eq per year, when it replaces power generated from LNG.

Alternate energy generation is necessary. Why fund the repressive regimes of the world - and destroy the planet too? Turbines and solar panels, along with other ways of energy generation, are a sign humans can change and triumph.

@Sustainable2050 And the advantage of renewables is that when you install a turbine or a solar panel it will work for years, while a litre of gasoline when burned is gone forever.

@Sustainable2050 let’s make sure to make them more efficient by having battery storage to fill the gaps when there is no sun or wind
