@ratking Is this a new headset and who makes it?
- ratratking@mastodon.stickbear.meOct 26, 2026, 5:16 PM
@Lino0876 It's one i've had fo ra bit but could use it as one of the earcups had fallen off. Someone was able to help me get it back on. It's the TurtleBeach stealth 600

@ratking Sweet.
JamminJerryJamminJerry@mastodon.stickbear.meOct 26, 2026, 5:27 PM@ratking which headset is this?
- ratratking@mastodon.stickbear.meOct 26, 2026, 5:32 PM
@JamminJerry turtleBeach Stealth 600
- JamminJerryJamminJerry@mastodon.stickbear.meOct 26, 2026, 5:33 PM
@ratking I have heard turtlebeach makes good stuff. I had one of there USB cards several years ago, and it wasn't bad.
- ratratking@mastodon.stickbear.meOct 26, 2026, 5:34 PM
@JamminJerry this headset is quite powerful, and there' san updated version, the stealth 700.
- JamminJerryJamminJerry@mastodon.stickbear.meOct 26, 2026, 5:35 PM
@ratking is this a big wireless headset, or a smaller one? big I mean covers your whole ear like studio headphones do.
- ratratking@mastodon.stickbear.meOct 26, 2026, 5:36 PM
@JamminJerry yeah, its' over ear, those are the only ones i can use comfortably
- JamminJerryJamminJerry@mastodon.stickbear.meOct 26, 2026, 5:36 PM
@ratking oh, so the studio kind? just making sure I am on the same page.
- ratratking@mastodon.stickbear.meOct 26, 2026, 5:37 PM
@JamminJerry Yeah, others won't function with my hearing aids
- JamminJerryJamminJerry@mastodon.stickbear.meOct 26, 2026, 5:38 PM
@ratking oh wow! now that isn't cool at all! so you have to spend more money to get the studio type, just because of that.
- ratratking@mastodon.stickbear.meOct 26, 2026, 5:39 PM
@JamminJerry not always, this was only about 90, the corsair headset work well for me, like the one you had
- JamminJerryJamminJerry@mastodon.stickbear.meOct 26, 2026, 5:40 PM
@ratking sadly my corsair headset didn't last a very long time. one of the ear cups was practically coming off, and while you can replace them for what AI saw, I didn't trust myself to do that. I think mine lasted around maybe nine months at most, but was falling apart at 6 months.
- ratratking@mastodon.stickbear.meOct 26, 2026, 5:42 PM
@JamminJerry actually i replaced the earcups quite easily, got better ones.
- JamminJerryJamminJerry@mastodon.stickbear.meOct 26, 2026, 5:42 PM
@ratking well there you go. cootos to you for being able to do that. I just didn't trust myself to do it. smile. that is awesome that you got better ones though.
- ratratking@mastodon.stickbear.meOct 26, 2026, 5:43 PM
@JamminJerry I got pads wiht memory foam, same for my wife who still uses it. the USB port on mine broke
- JamminJerryJamminJerry@mastodon.stickbear.meOct 26, 2026, 5:44 PM
@ratking well hell! yep, that would do them in as you can't charge them without that USB port.
- ratratking@mastodon.stickbear.meOct 26, 2026, 6:05 PM
@JamminJerry one huge ting wiht the stealth i love though is it's battery. it's insane
- JamminJerryJamminJerry@mastodon.stickbear.meOct 26, 2026, 6:06 PM
@ratking oh really?
- ratratking@mastodon.stickbear.meOct 26, 2026, 6:07 PM
@JamminJerry I'm using my headset most of the day keep in mind, so about 10 hours a day roughly, and i only need to charge it once a week
- JamminJerryJamminJerry@mastodon.stickbear.meOct 26, 2026, 6:11 PM
@ratking now that is really good! wow!
- ratratking@mastodon.stickbear.meOct 26, 2026, 6:13 PM
@JamminJerry Yeah, and that's even switching over to bluetooth and using gaming enhancements
- JamminJerryJamminJerry@mastodon.stickbear.meOct 26, 2026, 5:43 PM
@ratking with how unaccessible the software was, and that ear cup thing, I never replaced them. I mean ok, some of it was accessible, but some of it, you kind of had to fight to get to some stuff. they were really a good headset though. I was actually broadcasting with it for several months.
- ratratking@mastodon.stickbear.meOct 26, 2026, 5:44 PM
@JamminJerry well, that's one lousey thing with the stealth 600 is the pc software is not nice. it can be controlled via the phone though, and has both bluetooth and a doungle
Justin MacleodJustinMac84@mastodon.socialOct 26, 2026, 5:47 PM@JamminJerry @ratking I like the Raizer Blacksharks. The bass isn't the best on either the Coarsaire or the Blackshark. Good mic though. Better range on the Blackshark.
- Munchkinbearmunchkinbear@mastodon.stickbear.meOct 26, 2026, 7:40 PM
@JamminJerry they literally just twist off. but with your hands, yeah. sadly, you'd need someone like may to do it for you. @ratking
- JamminJerryJamminJerry@mastodon.stickbear.meOct 26, 2026, 8:11 PM
@munchkinbear @ratking well they are deffinitly long gone. smile. and with my computer the way it is now with four soundcards, I don't think they would work very well with my setup now. really nothing wirelessly would.
