This is a good test now that I have the right model for the ribbon connector - I think I need just a bit more slack on it. So maybe moving ½mm right.

sconientsconient@techhub.socialOct 25, 2026, 6:01 PM@revk I'd pull the STEP file into FreeCAD, and move all the components down a bit (or move the board body up a bit, assuming all components are on one side).
I think the KiCAD board export uses real thicknesses for layers like solder mask, silkscreen, and copper, so you could also try setting those to 0 in the board settings and see if the components end up touching the board on the export.

@sconient yeh I have been trying to work out a way - I do think an export of a solder paste layer of some sane thickness would just stick it all together nicely - I’ve put in a feature request.
