Lol! It can spread quickly in my garden as well. But I find that it's easy to identify and pull. You're gonna hate me for saying it but I actually use it for ground cover in a small, somewhat isolated patch. I love the flower b/c it's a "true blue" flower which are not very common and the flower is very unique so it makes a great macro subject. It's my favorite weed 🤷‍♂️.

@RihilismPhotography No, I don’t hate you. It really is a very pretty plant, and it’s not hard to pull when it’s in the open. Most of my yard is taller native perennials, and the dayflower is unbelievably persistent in coming up amongst those year after year, and it’s really hard to extricate. I’ve gotten pretty good at identifying dayflower stems by feel, when I’m reaching into a big bunch of bluestem or whatever and can’t see what’s what.

It's very common around here so I it comes back even if I pull it all out and it grows back easily from fragments. It's in a part of my garden that consists of a long, shallow bed that's surrounded by foundation and driveway so they don't spread as quickly.

I've more of the issue with crown vetch which shows up everywhere and I'm constantly tearing out.
