Israel / Palestine is an prison for the insane, built by the inmates.

Anyone who takes sides in this fight, hey, they're still building it ! Rush in while the getting is good.

P.S. After Oct 7, Israel stopped listening to anyone. They don't give a shit what anyone thinks anymore. So why should they care what we're saying about it?

How about the 1988 Hamas Charter? When Hamas came to power in June 14–15, 2007, they dragged out all those policemen into the street and shot them all.

No one is saying Hamas are nice people. If they were given the chance to commit genocide and ethnic cleansing, they probably would.
But they are not given that chance; Israel is. By us. The west is aiding and abetting a heinous genocide and we need to stop it asap.

So, from whence arises your ass-hurt, friend? I say they are all insane, driven to murder each other, world opinion notwithstanding.

And furthermore, I say Israel has absolutely stopped listening, only to have you bray like some outraged donkey about genocide. Of course it's genocide. It's par for the course in that part of the landscape.

Well seems I've been blocked, heh.

Here's a Big Thought for Contemplation: anyone who takes sides in the Israel/Palestine fight is an effing idiot. There are no Good Guys in this story.

@tuban_muzuru when you and your people are facing existential extinction and you decide to oppose that by any means necessary then you might just maybe have an opinion relevant to the discourse. Currently you should just Shut the Fuck Up

What's the delusion anyway? In the interests of my mental health, tell me what smell I'm giving off, by saying there are not Good Guys in this equation.

Do you think there are any Good Guys? Israel is a Bad Guy. Hamas is a Bad Guy Have you taken sides in this fight?

The real delusion here is your framing of the situation as "this fight" between Israel and Hamas, and your framing of Hamas as Palestine ("anyone who takes sides in the Israel/Palestine fight is an effing idiot").

I agree that Hamas is not "a good guy", but Hamas does not represent Palestinians, rather it is a direct result of the state of Israel's actions; it is practically a tool of the state of Israel and especially of Netanyahu, who had a lot to do with Hamas coming into power.

Hamas is a recent phenomenon, it didn't exist when the state of Israel initiated genocide and apartheid with the Nakba in 1948. Your misleading focus on Hamas ignores the state of Israel's actions prior to Hamas's existence, and also it's actions in the West Bank, in Lebanon, and elsewhere, outside of "this fight" with Hamas.

Especially disgusting is your attempt to disassociate the state of Israel from it's actions by spreading the blame out to the entire Middle East, painting everyone there as "insane" and genocide as "par for the course in that part of the landscape". You blame the people themselves for the actions of institutions they have no power over ("Israel / Palestine is an prison for the insane, built by the inmates"), writing-off all the suffering and massacre of Palestinians and others as being deserved and self-induced.

Pretending that the only "sides in this fight" are Israel and Hamas is utterly absurd and ignorant.

I am not a Marxist myself, but this assessment of Hamas is highly informative. I don't expect you to read it, but others coming across this thread might find it helpful:

Also, "here is the former Israeli Prime Minister, the former head of Shin Bet and a former head of the IDF all saying that Netanyahu boosted Hamas to prevent a two-state solution":

Ecch... it used to be that Israeli politics used to feature some wise, thoughtful politicians such as Menachem Begin - and Anwar Sadat, people who understood the ruinous nature of war.

Israeli politics swings back and forth, Labour tries to achieve rapprochement with the Palestinians. Then some horrible episode goes down, Likud shouts, "See ! You can't trust the Arabs !""

    Back and forth it goes.

The Western world should stay the fugg out of that mess, entirely. What do we think we're going to achieve?
