revisiting my old "native flora" code (bundled into the flametree package) and god i forgot how finicky this system is to work with. occasionally makes something lovely but so often the balance on the pieces is just... off. painfully similar to growing an actual australian native garden ngl

just... ugh. almost the right thing but also very clearly not the right thing... which is also a pretty good description of every fucking eremophila i have ever grown

i mean look at this. it's a procedural art thing and the palette is a decent red/orange/black against a beige background, and it kind of looks a lot like a floral bouquet with tiny flowers at the end of thin wavy stems but i messed up the parameter settings and the bulk of the "flowers" are like half way up the "plant". it's vaguely attractive and almost good, but still jarring and it annoys the shit out of me because this sort of output is screaming out "your system is poorly parameterised"
