@heleenkuiper we store drinking water on the island I work on, we do sterilise the cans between refills and we'd probably refresh the water every month or two to be safe but so long as it's not in direct sunlight it doesn't go green. Do you try the water to make sure?

@sarahdalgulls when I empty them they seem fine. In the beginning I cleaned them out with bleach (😕) but I asked a prep shop and they said it wasn’t necessary. They are stored in the area under the floor (google translates it with crawl space but that seems too literal to me) so they are in the dark
