@vick21 @ZBennoui @FreakyFwoof Okay, you guys won’t believe this. Today I confirmed that VO+Space, using either Caps Lock or Control+Option, didn’t work, and neither did Up+Down with Quick Nav on. However, double-tapping with Trackpad Commander on worked. And here comes the weirdest thing I’ve ever seen. More in the next post. 1/2
@vick21 @ZBennoui @FreakyFwoof The school Wi-Fi kept asking me to accept a certificate, so I checked the date and found it was set to April 1, 1976. I corrected it, and VO+Space immediately started working. Just for kicks, I set another Mac to April 1, 1976, and it had the exact same problem. Changing the date back fixed vo+space again. lol
@FreakyFwoof @vick21 @ZBennoui For fun, you should try setting the date to April 1, 1976 on your Mac. It is the weirdest bug I've ever seen. lol
@FreakyFwoof @vick21 @ZBennoui I confirmed the bug in Sequoia, Tahoe, and Golden Gate. lol
@FreakyFwoof @vick21 @ZBennoui The fun part is vo+space worked fine everywhere else except button, popup, and checkbox as far as I could tell. lol
@chikim @ZBennoui @FreakyFwoof Wow, this is absolutely amazing! Why would the date influence VoiceOver behavior? Perhaps it is programmed to make sure that these keyboard shortcuts do not run before the preset date? Hahahahah!
@vick21 @ZBennoui @FreakyFwoof Who knows, but this is Apple paying attention to the absolute details. lol
