Waiting on tests to show the right results to get out. Each day the doctor tells me he’ll wait for today’s blood test. Then it’s dinner time.
It’s only been 5 days really, I’m being a little dramatic.
I don't think I'd be a very good patient after 5 days. Last time I was in hospital for that long a couple of decades ago, with meningitis. Excellent drugs. Terrible internet access.
:)
I’m guessing meningitis was a little frightening?
Mmmm.
How do the neighbours compare with home? Less shouting lunatics?
A few cranky Yorkshiremen have told nurses how to nurse quite loudly, but not one has screamed faarken faarken faark yet. The service is definitely better here, 4 a.m. paracetamol at the press of a button.
Sound like you're ahead of the curve there. Nice. (But hope they set you loose soon, too!)
Ideally I don’t need paracetamol at 4 a.m. I am becoming accustomed to my meals being dropped off though.
There’s a certain marker number they’ve decided is the going home number. The blood test was 2.5 hours ago, waiting, waiting.
But they don’t say anything if I’m staying, just take my dinner order.
@kentparkstreet1
Ummm, IME they took my dinner order on the day I was discharged (I didn't find out about the discharge until after dinner was ordered - was looking forward to custard for desert)
