Brian BìnhBrianBinh@dice.campOct 21, 2026, 9:37 PM@BaronessWinter Now that BioWare the videogame company is shut down, the BioWare trademark is up for grabs by a more suitable business. We're one step closer to a biopunk dystopia with gene mods and cat girls and snake people. That'll be much more fun than our current dystopia of AI girlfriends and reptiloids in poorly fitting business suits.

@BrianBinh Truth!
SablebadgerSablebadger@dice.campOct 21, 2026, 10:07 PM@BaronessWinter probably not, because it's just a video game and lots of folks have different tastes/hobbies/entertainment choices.
But I am absolutely crushed by the news. My wife and i play every single Mass Effect game multiple times, and the idea the franchise is dead and no more stories in this universe is hard to take.
Those games LITERALLY saved my sanity during Pandemic, we did full playthroughs of the games.
Sadly I saw this coming when EA stepped in, they are a horrible company.
