Hi! I just tried the archive link again, and it worked fine for me. Sometimes archive links don't work properly if you're using a VPN, so that might be worth checking. Unfortunately, those are the only two sources I have available.

More good news for “routine vaccines” - this is such good news; also for understanding the role inflammation plays. We could get all sorts of advances out of this. Non-(or less)-tummy-troubling anti-inflammatories, for instance.

@DenisCOVIDinfoguy I wish the shingles vax was routine here in Australia. My GP advised me against it as it costs about $600 for the two jabs.
@aletha Shingles vaccine is on the Recommended & Australian govt funded schedule for 65yo & over.
Shingles is much less common under 65 as it's a reactivation of a prior chickenpox infection (but my sister had it in her 50s).
I've had 3 of these 4 and become eligible for the shingles one next year.
I paid for my RSV vaccine because of lung damage from COVID-19 (Nov 2023) despite having had 6+ COVID vaccinations by then & probably not being eligible for the antivirals at the time. However if I had asked doctor instead of reading the rules, I might have got the antiviral & avoided a couple of years of troubles.
