@hub But it did stay, it just stayed put and didn’t move with us into the future.

(3D movies are cool, but the tech isn’t practical. Same with VR. Another thing that hasn’t taken off.)

@yon @hub VR's got a major problem with being underserved with conventional games people want to play on it.

It's not a replacement for anything else, but the most successful PSVR[2] games got non-VR entries and PSVR1 vs 2 incompatibilities meant some obvious titles (Resident Evil 7, Wipeout Omega Collection) never supported the good headset

@flippac @hub I find that they lack killer apps, that can only be used/play in VR. It’s more like a neat thing for a 3D game in general.

(That and the controls limit the concept so much:/)

Add in the cost and faffing about. Not really worth it. My PSVR2 is collecting dust:/

@yon @hub the setup faff makes my collection of fighting game controllers look like they all pair wirelessly and that's for sit-down, yeah

but I'd rather it kept existing: I'd have things easy enough if there was something I could happily play for hours on end on psvr2

@yon @hub a port of Astrobot Rescue Mission would be welcome given how well the character's done on 2d displays

@hub At the time I felt they were too concerned with the visual effects and not enough with a story and characters. Made them boring.

@hub it only ever made sense for CGI - The Lego Movie actually did something with it that wasn't a "rollercoaster" scene and I regret not getting a 3D 4K release, but so it goes
