I can't tell if they're trolls, or suffering AI psychosis...
Lately on IRC there's a rise in people who assert that if you ever question the output of their pet LLM, you're paranoid, or have never used it.
No other viewpoint can be valid.

@FunkyBob To be fair there are quite a lot at the other end of the spectrum as well who will attack you if you dare to use AI to generate code.
The Python community is known for being accepting of diverse opinions and various conferences would point out explicitly in their codes of conduct that attacking other programming languages was not allowed. Yet these days in various Python forums I have seen the attacks about AI from both sides is growing and nothing is done to stop it.
@grahamdumpleton @FunkyBob that's because it's not a neutral technology https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2026/09/microsoft-exec-called-ai-scraping-the-largest-theft-of-labor-in-human-history/
@FunkyBob I know the case you are talking about: this particular combative and incurious attitude pre-dates LLMs. But your point stands about those suffering from AI psychosis.
@nedbat Yeah, it's not new, but there does seem to be a spike in events lately.
