And I daresay: Russia does not have enough fuel to make a dent in the US market. If I calculated correctly, the US uses ~400k tons of diesel per _day_ in transportation _only_, let alone global total use (which Trump claims). So at least above numbers do not matter at all economically
Russia has to have sufficient inputs for its refineries to be able to produce diesel.
It doesn’t just pick it out out of its bum it needs crude, and that needs to be able to process the correct kind of crude which is probably domestically produced but the way the global economy works that’s not necessarily the case
