Started to watch the Netanyahu speech. I had dreaded this moment. Was curious why all teh applause when he was walking to the podium. I had been told he didn't get a warm reception. Then the camera turned to show the applause was for everyone leaving.

He starts: "Mr President, before I begin, if there are any more moral cowards who haven't left this hall, please do so now"
Netanhayu claims Jewish people inhabited Golan Height for very long time. It may be true that people of jeish faith have lived there for a very long time, but Israel , country, was created in 1948 with specidic boundaries that don't include it.
He then repeats that this is all about defending a Jewish state.
At the UN, he represents a country, not a religion, and Israel isn't the only country with people of jewish religion. It is wrong to claim your country represents a religion.
Netanyahu: We win because we have no other choice.
(and by "win" he means "fight with massive humans rights violations".
Someone needs to give Israel a choice instead of weapons. But we know that someone won't.
Netanyahu has a lot of Trumpian exagerations to hep justify his abeharnt human rights violantions as having no other choice.
Netanhayu then switches to personal attacks against Mr Mamdani.
To sum it up: he sees ennemies everywhere so has no other choice in fighting everyone. (but in doing so, that is why Israel has ennemies).
He purposefully conflates religion with a nation which makes it impossible to criticise the country without being labeled anti-semitic.
He beleives that all land inhabited by people of jewish religion thousands of years ago ethically should belong to the country of Irsael today.
