@davidrevoy My thought on seeing the photo was to ask you about how this XD pen works on Gnunux but reading on the post made me think this is not there yet… :-( Still, I'm impressed you wrote a drivers from scratch.
@aloxe Thank you! Oh, it depends the model; this one on the main photo is my main tablet, the Artist 19 Pro gen2, and this one is well supported if you gather this conditions: KDE Plasma more recent than 6.7, Wayland, a Linux kernel that support BPF, and the udev-hid-bpf project installed.
Haha, still overly complex for newcomers; things degraded a lot over the last decade, that's why there is not a lot of artist on Linux , it's a pain 😅
@davidrevoy Well for now I'm just scouting for my daughter but this path looks a bit complex indeed. I'll be better off with a framework laptop and its stylus.
@aloxe Just so you know, styluses bundled with laptops are rarely well designed for art, but more often just good enough pointer devices for business men needing a way to sign documents (problems with latency, precision, level of pressure, texture of the display overlay)
