@Garwboy I have ADHD, as does my brother, we were both diagnosed as adults. I was diagnosed while at university and am now a professional computer programmer. My brother was diagnosed while working as a high school science teacher, after obtaining a science degree, working as lab assistant, then finishing teacher's college!

We're only a "drain" on society in that our meds are subsidised, without which we likely wouldn't as effective as we are. I know for a fact that I couldn't work full time without my meds. I'm pretty sure the extra taxes I pay more than makes up for the cost of my meds.
