I mean I like the book so far, and I'm turning them pages, but whenever there's a big reveal, he just sort of goes "Holy fuck, I'm on a space ship."
There's craftier ways to make the moment hit, I think.

There's other stuff he does really well, so it's not a deal breaker. I guess it's just a little surprising from someone who's supposed to be the current golden boy of scifi.

But one of my friends was like, "Bleh, I can hardly read this, it sounds like Reddit."
