So I just did the math on #elonmusk 's promise to sack 1/3 of the US governments employees. Thats 6.3 million people made unemployed which would raise the US Unemployment rate from 4.1% to 6.2%.
Welcome to the next recession...

@shayneoneill if I were really cynical, I might think this is the start of another right wing pipeline. Create unemployment -> More despair -> More people to vote for populists -> intended result
