@Archie8 That reminds me that I do have a bicycle to fix. Will have to substitute the sandwiches with noodle casserole, though. There’s a nice Scandinavian word for it: #hygge. The German #Gemütlichkeit comes close, but is not quite the same thing. The English #cozy works. Mastodon sure is a cozy place.
@JensHannemann I'm enjoying it as well Jens. This is a friendlier place 🙂
@JensHannemann @Archie8 oh, crap, so do I. I cut the tire off one of my wheels to give my kiddo’s PowerWheels vehicle enough grip to go up hills. Yes, I could have bought a new tire that wasn’t already on a rim, but that would have required forethought and not have involved an element of personal sacrifice.
@c0dec0dec0de @Archie8 Hah! For me it was just as simple as putting air in the tires and adjusting the gear shifter.
@JensHannemann @Archie8 I do not know how to adjust my shifters. Goes doubly for the road bike because I’m terrified to mess with that one.
@c0dec0dec0de @JensHannemann @Archie8 park Tool has a really nice YouTube channel on fixing bikes, including shifter adjustments.
@JensHannemann @Archie8 Let’s get more coverage for hyggeligt.
